For example custom sized doors that will take much more to replace than the average door. Old doors and windows that have aged and unusable in their current state.
Example 1: Water Damaged Window Restoration
A common issue is windows such as the ones below that are falling apart from water and sun damage over the years. Now these particular doors are costly to remove and repair. And often times by the time they reach such points the house itself might be in a place that it requires series renovation, rework or a complete rebuild. But our particular customer had purchased this during pandemic and simply wanted to get a few more years out of them before she was able to redo the entire thing, We’ve even had cases where we replaced certain wood sections of windows and frames form whatever rot and this is something we can do for you.
Example 2: Heritage Painting Restoration
This was a rewarding job given the starting condition. There was years of sun and water damage that had pealed off a large portion of the original paint. Which had also eaten into the original concrete due to the painting being left for years in that state.
On this project we definitely could have gone further. But due to the limitations of time and the customer not liking having the front of her house covered with scaffolding we had to rush it to some degree. But you can definitely see the results and this can be refined with more time allowance.
Example 3: Old Wooden Door Restoration
In this particular case our customer wanted to replace the old door but it was custom sized and the cost wasn’t worth it. So they asked us to give it some new life and we did. This is a very common thing in the Melbourne’s housing market. Sometimes the doors are not worth replacing or on the other extreme priceless and historic to the home and surrounding. But if you can repair it and give it the right kind of cover, it will end up lasting indefinitely. This is also a great strategy for those wanting to give their property a few more years of life until they renovate or rebuild.
